Yesterday, June 3, a meeting of the World Motor Sport Council, which was held in Barcelona. On the agenda were a number of questions, one of which was vysenenie final decision on the holding of the Bahrain Grand Prix this year. Recall that the race in Bahrain was to open the season in Formula 1 this season, but due to the difficult political situation in the country had to cancel the stage. Nevertheless, the management of an airport as well as the government have been very interested in the return of the race this year. Despite the protests from some of the teams, FIA has decided to hold the race on October 30, although initially at that date was scheduled the first ever Formula 1 race in India. And the Indian stage turned out to be rescheduled for December 11, and will not only be the final stage of the championship, but will be combined with the annual General Assembly of the FIA and the ceremony of awarding the winners. Thus, this year’s championship will be completed in a record later date. It is noteworthy that despite the assurances of the Bahraini government that the situation in the country has stabilized, some sources inform about the ongoing popular unrest in the kingdom. Many team leaders are not happy with this decision and there is a chance that the stage can be boycotted.
