Audi has chosen the Beijing Motor Show in 2016 as a platform for the premiere of “charged” 2017 Audi TT RS coupe and roadster in a new body 8S, and in China the Germans brought both coupe and roadster. Unlike the standard 2017 Audi TT RS coupe and roadster 3 generation, modification TT RS stands more aggressive front bumper with larger air intakes, splitter and the updated radiator grille with silver trim and the word “quattro”. Behind the new Audi TT RS provides a static wing, diffuser in the bumper and large oval exhaust pipes. In addition, the new product dispatched mirror housings in carbon and 19-inch wheel disks of original design (by the way, is very controversial). Inside, the Audi TT RS a new body sports a sporty leather seats with contrasting stitching and “RS”, metal plates on the pedals, inserts of carbon fiber in the finishing and multifunction sports steering wheel with flattened rim and the mode buttons operation control electronics drive select.
Under the hood, there was a 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbo engine, but the engine got a new aluminum block to replace the old steel. This allowed to reduce the weight of 10 kg of the power unit, as well as to increase its return on 60 forces. So now it gives exactly 400 “horses” and 480 Nm of torque at peak. Unlike the previous generation of machines, which can be ordered with a manual transmission, the new Audi TT RS 2017 is offered exclusively paired with a 7-band robot S tronic dual-clutch. Permanent all-wheel drive quattro has a multi-plate clutch, freely distributing traction among the axles. From zero to hundreds of the Audi TT RS Coupe accelerates in 3.7 seconds, and the Roadster makes it 0.2 seconds. longer. In comparison, the 540-horsepower supercar Audi R8 first-generation dials the first hundred in 3.5 seconds. Perhaps the upcoming modification TT RS plus (it is expected about 420 hp) make it to this indicator. Maximum speed coupe and roadster is limited at around 250 km/h. Among other technical features of the model appear understated by 10 mm sports suspension, adaptive dampers with magnetorheological fluid and upgraded brakes with 370 mm discs. This extra charge available carbon-ceramic mechanisms, 20-inch wheels, adjustable rear spoiler instead of a static, matrix diode head optics and taillights with 3D-effect on the organic light emitting diode (OLED). Sales of the new Audi TT RS (8S) will start in Europe in the autumn of 2016 at a price of 66,400 euros for the Coupe and from € 69,200 – for the roadster.
