The new “charged” station wagon Audi RS4 Avant 2018-2019 year made its debut at the motor show in Frankfurt 2017. This model in the body of the B9 became the fourth generation of “er-es four.”
Let’s look at the photo of the new Audi RS 4 Avant 2018, from the standard five-door version, the top version can be distinguished by other bumpers, a black grille with large honeycombs and glossy fringing, slightly enlarged wheel arches (+ 30 mm), and oval exhaust pipes.
The car stands out with a complicated front bumper with large air intakes, small air ducts near the headlights and lanterns, a rear diffuser, an understated ground clearance, exclusive design wheel disks (19 or 20 “), and special covers for the rearview mirror and door sills.
In the interior of the new Audi RS4 Avant B9 there are sports front seats and a rudder with a truncated rim, metal pedals, a full second row and a trunk of 505 liters. You can also mark additional electronic indicators – you can display acceleration and torque graphs on the screen.
In the Audi RS4 Avant movement, the 2018 brings a new 2.9-liter V6 engine with two turbines, which was borrowed from Panamera 2 . Here he develops the same 450 hp as the previous “eight” TFSI in volume of 4.2 liters, but the peak torque instantly increased from 430 to 600 Nm. At the same time, its lion’s share is already available at 1,900 rpm.
Instead of the seven-band robot S tronic on the Audi RS4 Avant in the new body, an 8-band automatic was installed, and the drive, of course, a full-quattro. Due to the transition to a modular platform, the weight of the station wagon was reduced by 80 kg – up to 1,790, the average consumption dropped to 8.8 l/100 km (-17%).
What in the end? In comparison with the predecessor , the acceleration time from 0 to 100 km / h was simultaneously improved by 0.6 seconds – up to 4.1 seconds, while the maximum is limited to 250 kilometers per hour. Having paid for the optional “RS dynamic” package, you can get 280. Alas, in terms of acceleration, most of the competitors are a bit, but faster.
In the Audi RS 4 database, the Avant B9 has a Torsen center differential, a sports-tuned steering and a suspension with other shock absorbers and shortened springs (the ground clearance is reduced by 30 mm), and for an additional charge, adaptive Dynamic Ride Control racks, an active rear differential with electronic control and carbono -Ceramic brakes.

Receiving orders for the new Audi RS4 Avant began in the fall of 2017, the price of a car in Germany starts from 79 800 euros.
In this case, as is usual with the Germans, the manufacturer offers a lot of additional equipment, for which it is necessary to pay extra.
