Audi has presented conceptual Crosslane Coupe crossover

Audi has managed to hide the appearance of the concept Crosslane Coupe before the official presentation in Paris. As a result, we saw a rather unusual three-door compact crossover that is a harbinger of models Q2. Overall length Audi Crosslane Coupe Concept is 4 210 mm (size of the wheelbase of 2560 mm), width – 1880 mm, height – 1 510 mm. The car has a removable roof panel, and the trunk unit can be extended to 400 mm by means of electric drive. Body concept entirely made of aluminum, carbon fiber and glass fiber reinforced. The total weight of the hybrid with batteries is 1490 kg. Located under the hood a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine produces 130 hp (200 Nm), but it helps when starting a 58-horsepower electric motor. The second electric motor develops 116 forces and allows the electric crossover move at speeds up to 55 km/h, and in excess of the speed of the internal combustion engine is connected. The power plant at Audi Crosslane Coupe has two modes of operation: “cruise” and “race”. First it makes sense to choose when measured driving when the priority is electric, and the second mode is provided for a more dynamic drive. For comparison, the acceleration from zero to hundreds at the electric crossover takes 9.8 seconds, but in the mode of “race”, this figure is reduced to 8.6 seconds. The maximum speed reaches 182 km/h and an average fuel consumption of only 1.1 liters per 100 kilomiter. It is expected that the production version of the compact Audi Q2 crossover will get more practical five-door body, the choice between front-wheel and all-wheel drive, as well as the range of Motril capacity from 120 to 180 hp
