Reports that Jeep, Dodge and Chrysler, part of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles group, are forced to conduct a service campaign, within which 3,019 cars will be sent for repairs. We are talking about models Chrysler Sebring, Dodge Caliber, as well as SUV Jeep Compass and Patriot, implemented from April 2010 to December 2015. All of these machines have a problem with the controller responsible for the actuation of seat belts and the timely deployment of airbags. The fact that the impact sensors in an accident can send a negative voltage to this controller, which will lead to a short circuit, and therefore the unit will not be able to give the right command in a collision. Official dealers of brands Jeep, Dodge and Chrysler promise to fix the malfunction for free, but for this, the owners who come under the recall of the cars must call at the nearest service center. The list of VIN-numbers of machines to be repaired is already published on the website.
